Nobel Prize is widely regarded as the most prestigious award bestowed by Swedish and Norwegian institutions in several fields namely ChemistryLiteraturePeacePhysicsPhysiology or Medicine, and Economic Sciences. The prize was first awarded in 1901. It is important to note that, the first Prize in Economic Sciences was awarded in 1969 to Ragnar Frisch and Jan Tinbergen. 


It is a matter of pride that there are many Indians who were awarded by this most prestigious honours award.
